Lounge music, after the 50s – 60s had a flamboyant return in the 90s: the rediscovery of records and labels covered by layers of dust, new bands that reinterpreted that mood, parties – like the Jet Set or Il Giaguaro – that reproduced in a contemporary version the stylistic features – not only musical – of a refined way of being, cinematic, vintage.
LOUNGE captures that moment, with the participation of bands fundamental to the genre, such as Pizzicato Five, Montefiori Cocktail, Karminski Experience and Sam Paglia, and the behind-the-scenes collaboration of the people who made it possible: Bob Corsi, Luzy L, Alessandro Casella, Pierpaolo De Iuliis, the staff of Irma Records and Matador Records.
